I've been running bit office for now but I've also tried the bit versions but still receive the error. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times, restarting in between and cleaning out the cache, etc.
I've never had an error that was this difficult to fix Each time Project Professional is run, the below series of messages and ptoject happens - safe mode or normal. I've researched this end over end for two days. Something else to you might want to take a look at is your user profile. Word, Excel, and Powerpoint all run through the 'configuration' thing each and every time. It's like the settings just aren't holding on the profile. Also, do you have the information on checking for latent files or removing old installations of Office?
It's clear from the and messages that files are missing from the registry. Installed SubInACL Toolkit from Microsoft and running a series of commands to reset permissions to the default, out-of-the-box permissions. In reply to wheeler32's post on July 25, I'm sure there must be utilities that do that but I'd have to Google it myself to find them. Microsift know you said that reformatting was out of the question but at this point it may be the best option to clean up everything and start fresh.
